READ THIS These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can t test-play at the minute. Please don t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said

Beatles LP Jolly What GENUINE STEREO Vee Jay Pressing 1964 Strong VG

Keeping in mind that a Very Good grade shouldn t mean zits, braces, ripped hot pants, freckles and snot, this copy is by no means in bad condition by any stretch. Very Good means that the vinyl does have a few scuffs that are visible under normal room lighting, none of which you can feel, and with silent tracking of the stylus over them.

Vinyl--- Solid VG. See above rant.

Plates--- 64-3852-S/ 64-3853-S. Audio Matrix and the machine-stamped MR circle are both present. 1-21-64 / 1-26-64 are hand-etched. So are the delta symbol, followed by 6298 / 6298A. Plays with surface noise between tracks, but not crackle.

Astonishing STEREO separation and loud and punchy sound quality.

Cover--- NICE VG. That s not overselling it. The biggest problem is that someone wrote 200 on the front cover, like a jerk. Seams are intact with no splits, but they also have moderate shelfwear. Spine is gorgeous with minimal wear. Purple cover, as opposed to black background and text being present on the spine make this a genuine copy.

Front and back covers show very little ringwear or dirtwear. Bold graphics on the front, predominantly white back cover Minimal amount of yellowing and foxing.

Labels--- EXCELLENT, both labels. One very light spindle mark per side, light wear otherwise. I flattened the gloss and brightened the light scratches as best I could to show them, but in person, you ll see that they are really hardly noticeable. Promise. The worst of them is through track 6 on Side 2, which is exaggerated to show detail, you know, like they do on Triscuit boxes. Both labels look 95 new, very high gloss.

Vee Jay Inner Sleeve--- Original Vee Jay inner sleeve is present, and in VG condition. Had it not been for a 2-inch split to one side seam and a one-inch center split to the bottom seam, this sleeve would have very easily graded as Excellent to NM. Presents beautifully.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

Although not a NM copy, this was my keeper for 40 years. Never even found another copy Now, it can be yours, and like me, you might not even have to upgrade it.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks

Note: All LP s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don t bid unless you re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks

Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks
