After a multi-platinum debut, Grammy nominations, a successful sophomore album, sold-out tours and a collaboration with Jay-Z, the pressure was on for Linkin Park to deliver the goods with their 2007 release, Minutes To Midnight. Interestingly, the alternative metal outfit, best known for mixing rap, rock and electronic touches, deviates from their aggressive, angst-filled sound on their third outing opting instead to dabble in moody, atmospheric rock. Minutes To Midnight shows a band willing to push past their own tried-and-true formulas.

LINKIN PARK A THOUSAND SUNS 2 LP SET WITH COLLECTORS ORIGINAL MARKETING STICKER FOR COLLECTORS

Linkin Park, formed in 1996, rose to international fame with their debut album, Hybrid Theory, which was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and multi-platinum in several other countries.

Linkin Park has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and have won two Grammy Awards.
The fourth studio album by Linkin Park, A Thousand Suns, features 15 tracks written by the band and co-produced by Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin. The concept album deals with themes of war including nuclear warfare.
A Thousand Suns grapples with the personal cycle of pride, destruction, and regret. In life, like in dreams, this sequence is not always linear. And, sometimes, true remorse penetrates the devastating cycle. The hope, of course, springs from the notion that the possibility of change is born in our most harrowing moments.

Linkin Park The Hunting Party 2 LP SET WITH COLLECTORS ORIGINAL MARKETING STICKER FOR COLLECTORS

Double LP Finds Group Searching to Bring Back Energy and Soul of Rock
Features Etching on D-Side

The Hunting Party is the sixth studio album by Linkin Park and was self-produced by members Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson. It is their first album since Meteora not to be produced with Rick Rubin. The title of the album is a metaphor for the group searching to bring back the energy and soul of rock.
The album finds a departure from their recent electronic rock sound from the last two albums. It is simply a rock record as described by Shinoda and serves as a statement by the band against contemporary mainstream bands accused by him as trying to be other bands and playing it safe .
Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and hip-hop artist Rakim are among the few guest artists to appear on the album.
The Hunting Party has produced five singles including Guilty All the Same , Until It s Gone , Wastelands , Rebellion , and Final Masquerade .
More than a decade ago, Linkin Park sold a couple zillion records by making better-than-Bizkit rap metal and collaborating with Jay Z. They ve since wandered the emo wilderness, and singer Chester Bennington is now also fronting Stone Temple Pilots. But on Album Six they re back with a retro-neo-aggro sound that would ve been too intense for modern-rock radio in 1999. Tom Morello guests on guitar the mook-punk yowler Guilty All the Same features oldschool rap god Rakim. Even pushing 40, these dudes can still bring it like backward-ball-cap warriors hopped up on Mountain Dew and Dad s fourth divorce.
There s a war going down on the new Linkin Park album, the band s first since 2003 not produced by Rick Rubin. Without the guidance of their bearded generalissimo, these Cali rap-rock commandos go rogue, flinging missiles in all directions. They attack record companies, politicians, rule makers, exes, and anyone else in sight, all the while rediscovering the savage fun of super-loud guitars.
The band has described The Hunting Party as a prequel to Hybrid Theory, their mega-selling 2000 debut, and while the members work in plenty of the pretty synths and electro bits they ve explored over the last decade, they spend much of this record pummeling away like back in the day. The aggressive sound fits with the defensive lyrics, and the group arrives reinvigorated, ready for a fight. Mike Shinoda apparently ditched early demos that would have sent Linkin Park further into electronic territory, and given the ferocity of this music, his band mates seem thrilled by that decision.

LINKIN PARK HYBRID THEORY LP - doesn t have marketing sticker like pictured

Sensational Hit Debut Album Rap Metal Includes One Step Closer , Papercut , Crawling , In The End More
Hybrid Theory is the debut album by the American rock band Linkin Park, released on October 24, 2000 through Warner Bros. Records. The album was a commercial success, having sold over 10 million units in the United States alone as of 2010, peaking at number two on the Billboard 200, and also reaching high positions on other charts worldwide.
Recorded at NRG Recordings in North Hollywood, California, and produced by Don Gilmore, the album s lyrical themes deal with problems lead vocalist Chester Bennington experienced during his adolescence, including drug abuse and the constant fighting and divorce of his parents. Hybrid Theory takes its title from the previous name of the band.
Four singles were released from the album: One Step Closer , Crawling , Papercut , and In the End , all of them being responsible for launching Linkin Park into mainstream popularity especially their latter single being the most successful of the four. All of the singles from the album remain some of the band s most successful songs to date. At the 2002 Grammy Awards, Hybrid Theory was nominated for Best Rock Album. The album is listed in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. It was ranked 11 on Billboard s Hot 200 Albums of the Decade. This wasn t a scenario where the whole album sounds one way and the single sounds different. This is how the album sounds. So we wanted to go out with a song like that, where everybody can get a sense of the direction of this body of work.
