The Beatles White Album Original 1968 UK Parlophone Export Edition P-PCS 7067 EX THE WHITE ALBUM.
THE RAREST BEATLES LP PRESSED IN THE U.K.
FOR EXPORT.
Original 1968 uk pressed, black and yellow, Parlophone label, export pressing.
P-PCS 7067.
EX- VIEW MORE IMAGES HERE: Released November 22nd 1968 The Beatles was the Beatles first double album release and their first album release on the Apple label.
One week after its release in the U.K it hit number 1 were it stayed for nine weeks it was also the first ever double album to get to number 1 in the U.K.
That same year 1968 EMI issued this album for export purposes only.
The export copies where exactly the same as the UK issues: gatefold, numbered sleeves, black inners, poster and prints.
However, instead of featuring the new Apple labels EMI issued the export copies on the well known black and yellow Parlophone labels.
The labels featured the usual grammophone co rim texts and made in gt.BRITAIN text but obviously did not carry the sold in UK label text.
These export copies where pressed in stereo only and carried the same catalogue number as the UK issues: PCS 7067.
These export editions were printed with a p prefix, making the catalogue number: P-PCS 7067.
It is now well known that over the years EMI regularly contracted out pressings of both singles and albums to other companies such as Decca or PYE and the export white album was no exception, some copies of this export album where pressed by Decca.
This version IS NOT the Decca pressed edition.
There seems to be some uncertainty as to just how many copies where pressed of the export copy, but what is certain is that the numbers where very few and very limited and it makes this mega rare indeed.
Catalogue number : P-PCS 7067/7068.
This is the extremely rare export issue from 1968, used to send to countries where the Apple corporation was not yet registered.
It has an embossed The BEATLES on the front of the sleeve.
The number on the front of the cover is 0523323, which is low.
MOTHER STAMPERS: Side 1: GGD Side 2: LG Side 3: GHU Side 4: GOP Disc 1 - P-PCS 7067 Matrices: YEX 709-1 YEX 710-1 Disc 2 - P-PCS 7068 Matrix Stamps: There doesn t appear to be a matrix stamp on side three a mystery YEX 712-2 VISUAL GRADING COVER FRONT: Very light discolouration and a few creases in the lamination.
Small stain to top right of cover.
See pictures.
BACK: Very slight general wear.
There is a Stereo sticker on the top right corner as standard.
GATEFOLD: Clean and fully intact.
Crisp images and text.
Slight discolouration to the fold over on the sides and top caused by age.
SPINE: Clean, fully readable and fully intact.
Crease to the centre caused by the opening and closure.
It would be hard to find a copy without this.
EDGES: All four corners have slight dings.
These are better described visually in the pictures above.
INNERS: Clean with no rips.
A few dings to die-cut but nothing worth noting.
PORTRAITS: All four fully intact with no pin holes, creases, folds or rips.
There seems to be a print error on the McCartney and Harrison images which caused a faint white line.
Also slight mark on the top corner and reverse of the prints.
See pictures for more details.
THERE IS NO POSTER.
These can be found easily on eBay or added from other versions of this release, as it is the same as the regular edition.
VISUAL GRADING VINYL After washing with a vinyl record cleaner I can confirm that all four sides of the record are clean and without prominent marks.
Of course, hairline scratches appear on all sides.
This can only be expected from a used record.
Please view the sound grading below to see a more accurate representation of the vinyl grading.
The below comments were made when inspecting the record with a high power LED torch.
Of course this will bring up even the slightest of marks but provides a very accurate representation of markings that might effect play.
A: Minor wear.
B: A dozen inch or smaller long hairline marks seem raised to the touch.
C: Slight mark to inside spindle.
D: A more prominent hairline scratch is visible on the last track.
I HAVE TRIED TO PHOTOGRAPH THESE AS BEST I CAN, BUT AS ALWAYS - WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SCRATCH MIGHT NOT SOUND AT ALL SEE THE SOUND GRADING BELOW FOR AN IN-DEPTH AUDIO CONDITION REPORT.
SOUND GRADING Carefully play tested on my Pioneer turntable, with a Shure cartridge at a moderate volume.
SUMMARY Overall the record plays in VG to EX- condition with ease.
You have to listen very carefully to notice clicks.
Spindle marks indicate the record was played through the years.
Clean labels, no stickers, pencil etc.
There are a few ticks/clicks throughout which have to be listened closely to to be heard.
There are absolutely NO SKIPS OR JUMPS.

B7Why Don t We Do It In The Road A couple of very minor ticks can be heard.
B8I Will NO MAJOR ISSUES - Beautiful.
B9Julia Static can be heard along with ticks in this very quiet track.
I believe a deeper clean would get rid of these.
Overall: Light clicks during the silence in between tracks and in dead-wax.
Julia is worse than the others due to the low volume of the track.
- C1Birthday NO MAJOR ISSUES - Due to the loud nature of this track it is hard to find any faults.
C2Yer Blues Three very slight clicks at the end of the track.
The bass in this track sounds amazing C3Mother Nature s Son Slight ticks to the beginning of this song during the intro.
After first verse a few pops can be heard but these are very minor.

This track is very, very quiet so is to be expected.
The end build up sounds fantastic.

Overall: Light clicks during the silence in between tracks and in dead-wax.
- OVERALL GRADING: EXCELLENT- The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items without any major defects is acceptable.
