Item Description

Normal 0 false false false EN-GB JA X-NONE Mono Records without AN EMI RECORDING on each label Ultra LOW front number 0000545 Very nice and clean ORIGINAL black die cut inners Sides 1, 3 and 4 have FIRST MOTHER stamper NO photos or poster Vinyl has some skips on sides 1, 3 and 4 The gatefold COVER is a genuine 1968 MONO TOP LOADING example with No.
0000545 on the front and no stereo printed on the back.
It has some evidence of ringwear, a few creases and cracks in the laminate and some discolouration.
There is some corner wear.
There is a small light brown stain at the bottom, centre around the spine, showing on the front and back.
When tipped to the light it s possible to see some faint tracing marks of somebody who used the back cover as a rest to write on, but this is quite minor really.
At the top opening there is slight edge wear where the records go in.
Despite these blemishes it is still a VERY GOOD example with no writing, stickers or other markings.
The spine is still intact and clear with some slight loss of laminate covering.
The inner flipbacks are still strong and fully intact and generally it is very clean looking on the inside.
The two die cut black inners are EXCELLENT examples.
Slight creasing around the die cut and one has 2 small tears at the centre hole.
There are no other rips or tears.
Side 1- XEX 709-1 1 M Side 2- XEX 710-1 7 OH Excellent clean labels with less than average spindle markings.
NO An EMI Recording on either side.
The Vinyl on side 1 looks clear and clean with minor surface marks and scratches and plays very well with minor background noise minimal scratches, clicks and noise between tracks BUT there are 3 slight skips on Back In The USSR and another 3 on Glass Onion .
Annoying but not too distracting and I can t see the reason why there are skips, nothing visual or feelable.
VG- overall.
Side 2 has more visual scratches on the vinyl and it begins with audible scratches throughout most of Martha My Dear , I m So Tired and Blackbird .
Not loud or too intrusive, but persistent all the same.
After that side plays through nicely with no skips or annoying loud scratches, just a few minor ticks.
VG overall.
Side 3-XEX 711-1 1 GP Side 4- XEX 712-1 1 GM Excellent clean labels with less than average spindle marks.
NO An EMI Recording on either side.
Side 4 has a minor label blemish just to the right of side 4 .
which looks like a small cross Visually the vinyl on side 3 looks excellent with minor surface marks and scratches.
Unfortunately Birthday and Yer Blues have 4 skips each on my record deck anyway .
Occasional ticks and scratches on the rest of the side during quieter tracks like Mother Nature s Son.
VG- overall.
Side 4 starts with about 8 skips during the first 2 minutes of Revolution 1 and there are a further 3 skips in Honey Pie but then settles down and the rest of the side plays through very well with minor background noise.
VG- overall.
Please note that my record deck has a very light stylus arm and it s possible that with some cleaning solution on the vinyl and a heavier weight on the stylus arm some of these skips can be eliminated I have tried to be FAIR and HONEST in the description of this seminal double album.
I have erred on the side of caution in my description.
This album is being sold with a reserve price of 550.
Good Luck to all bidders Thanks for looking and check out my other BEATLES records.
