Item Description

This is the rarer Mono mix of The Beatles White Album PMC 7067-8 as released on 22 November 1968Numbered 0070206 Laminated Sleeve top opener with dark green labels An EMI recording is missing from the labelThe Mono mix eliminates the fade out Ringos scream at the end of Helter Skelter whilst Yer Blues has a longer fade outRocky Raccoon is spelt correctly with two c s on this versionHarrison Starrs compositions are credited to Apple Publishing LtdThe Laminated sleeve on this is superb the spine is un-cracked which I have never seen on any copy beforeThe Cover has great shine is near mint on the photos 2 3 the mark you can see is the light reflecting back off the laminate from my camera These Richard Hamilton designed minimalist numbered covers show every mark whenever mishandledThere are no spindle marks on any of the Record sides they still have their manufactured shine to themThe records are virtually mint Side 3 has the lightest of dust scratches from being slid in bag when held in strong lightPoster Four Photos have light signs of being handled there are no white spacers.I don t think the Records have been played much at all because of their condition the spine of the Record is covered with unbroken LaminateAudio is perfect as you would expect up until listing this I have only played it twice to check for any sticks of which there were none This is my own Record I am the second owner I didn t buy it new I ve had it for 10 years I have been agonising over selling it but because of its condition I never play it The time has come for it to go to another good home.I don t think I ll ever find another 45 year old White Album in this condition There is no Mono / Stereo designation on the white sleeve just both catalogue numbers on spineThe pictures I ve put on really tell their own story with regard to how well its survived perhaps the original owner was into Jazz or simply didn t like it It did receive a mixed critical response in Nov 1968 when first released although now widely regarded as a masterpiece. In fact now often cited as peoples favourite Beatles Album Own this and I think you will have one of the cleanest 1968 Mono White Albums availableMatrix Nos YEX 709-1 YEX 710-1 YEX 711-1 YEX 712-1Mothers as follows Side One 5 OM Side Two 5 TT Side Three 7 GDL Side Four 2 HR No reservePosting ImmediateFreepost in UKWill post Worldwide Insured in Record BoxRest of World cost is 20On 24-Nov-13 at 12:18:09 GMT, seller added the following information: The Labels on this Mono White Album are without An EMI Recording this was very quickly corrected this particular label was only used in November 1968.A very early pressing in Mono that was corrected immediately to include An EMI Recording as soon as the mistake was spotted.
