SLEEVE IS THE CHARISMA VARIANT WITH CHARISMA LOGO - NOT PHILLIPS This auction is for one of the most incredibly rare Genesis singles there is.
This is arguably rarer than even the US stock copy of the Silent Sun.
I am aware of less than 5 copies of this record in the world and most of these are located in Italy.
This copy was purchased several years ago by myself from an Italian guy who had emigrated to Argentina.
What distinguishes this copy from the vast majority of copies of this Italian picture sleeve single is the presence of a CHARISMA logo on the sleeve.
It is thought that an incredibly small amount of these were made belatedly during the pressing run of this single whilst a transition to the Charisma label was underway.
The record itself is on the Phillips label, which is standard for this release, irrespective of whether the sleeve has a Phillips logo or a Charisma logo.
The single is graded as follows Sleeve / Record EX- / EX per Record Collector guidelines Both the sleeve and record are in nice condition.
The sleeve has some minor and superficial wear with very small creases and a small amount of ring wear visible on the rear cover.
There are no rips, tears, seam splits, writing or other stains on what is essentially a nice condition and very acceptable sleeve condition wise.
The record is graded as EX and has a small amount of light hairline marks but nothing in any way serious.
Labels are EX very clean indeed.
