Silver is a two disc recording of a rare Prince show described as a combination of live performance and music video , originally titled The Glam Slam Ulysses and premiering at Glam Slam West in Los Angeles on August 21st, 1993. Inspired by Homer s Odyssey , it tells the story of Ulysses voyage home after the long Trojan war. The show featured twelve dancers and Carmen Electra in the role of both Calypso and Ulysses wife Penelope. This two disc set features both this live show and also unreleased studio outtakes and songs never put on any album.
