All singles and albums will be cleaned on the latest Okki Nokki machine.
Excellent copy of this very rare Pink Floyd test press LP.
This is an incredibly important LP - this is one of the first copies of this iconic album ever to be pressed in any form.
The matrix numbers are stamped SHVL 814 A1 and SHVL 814 B1.
The side two matrix was never commercially released as B1 - indeed the earliest matrix number released was B3 with only the A side carrying the A1 stamp.
Both sides have the 1 mothers and G stampers at 9 and 3 o clock respectively.
Comes in plain white sleeve.
These are very rare copies and to date, I believe, according to the most comprehensive Pink Floyd website available, PINKFLOYDARCHIVES the known test presses were issued on 2 discs with the B sides consisting of only a test tone.
I would imagine very few exist..
Has been in storage for over 40 years
GRADING
VINYL - EX - The odd light mark, very minor, stunning like new sheen.
Probably only a handful of plays only Including mine .
The only negative is that there is some slight edge warping not entirely uncommon in test presses which deviates around 3 mm from perfectly flat.
On revolution this is more noticeable on A side play but plays through fine with the tone arm just hopping slightly - this eases up once the arm moves further in.
Again this causes no skipping or jumps.
LABELS - NM - Clean white labels are unmarked bar 1 spindle mark, no other signs of use.
AUDIO - EX - There are a few ticks and light crackle at the start of side A and some repeating light ticks at the end of the same side, quite minor.
The rest of the time the LP plays perfectly top ultimate first pressed ever audio
Just an incredibly rare copy.
A note on Posatge
