AND ANOTHER VERY IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION THAT RECENTLY CAME TO LIGHT MOST ROLLING STONES COLLECTORS WILL KNOW THIS ALREADY IS THAT THE LARGE ZIP MYTH HAS FINALLY BEEN EXPOSED UP UNTIL RECENTLY SOME PEOPLE WERE UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THE LARGE ZIP STAMPED PAN WAS THE EARLIEST. HOWEVER, SOME EXTREMELY CLEVER PERSON DID SOME VERY IMPORTANT RESEARCH AND EXPOSED THE MYTH FIRSTLY - ON ALL LARGE ZIP COVERS - AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SPINE IT WILL SAY WEST GERMANY . OR MORE COMMONLY THERE IS SOME LIGHT WEAR THERE INSTEAD - WHERE SELLERS HAVE REMOVED IT. OFTEN YOU WILL SEE A COVER WITH A PERFECT SPINE - AND YET ON THE VERY BOTTOM PINCH OF THE SPINE, WILL BE SOME FRACTIONAL WEAR - GIVING THIS AWAY HOWEVER, FURTHER PROOF WAS FOUND - WHEN THE PAN ZIP MANUFACTURER WAS EVENTUALLY LOCATED IN GERMANY SO ALL LARGE ZIP COVERS ARE LATER IMPORTED GERMAN COVERS AND NOT UK WITHOUT EXCEPTION ANOTHER ZIP THAT CAN ALSO BE EXPOSED AS LATER, ARE ZIPS WITH THE YKK STAMPINGS YKK WERE A JAPANESE MANUFACTURER OF ZIPS WHO EVENTUALLY BECAME THE LARGEST MANUFACTURER OF ZIPS IN THE WORLD IN THE 1980s. AND THE REASON WHY THIS ZIP IS SO RARE, IS THAT IT ONLY HAPPENED ON AROUND 2 OR 3 BATCHES OF PRE-RELEASE COPIES ONLY SUCH WAS THE DEMAND FOR THIS LP IN ADVANCE ORDERS PRIOR TO RELEASE, THAT ANOTHER UK COMPANY WAS DRAFTED IN TO USE. OFTEN WRONGLY CALLED A TYPE 2 ZIP - WHEN THIS IS A COMPLETE MYTH.
