Comments: I am by no means an authority have not had this authenticated but it does appear to have all the telltale signs of an un-pasted first state cover. Under a bright light there seems to be no gluey residue or bits of paper on the slick, there are also no circular marks along the pocket opening. I measured the width of this against the other two peeled mono copies I have up for auction this is a full 16th of an inch wider. There is a very small tear at the bottom righthand corner but I believe this to be from water damage. The other giveaway for me anyhow is that I found this copy in a random junk box full of trashed early Beatles LPs complete with the ancient dried tape across the top seam a lot of lets just say patina . All of this seems inconsistent with what would be a pretty flawless peel job. Please refer to the 2nd photo which is larger you can zoom in for detail. That said it s not in great shape. Taped top seam, completely split spine there is some water damage along the bottom but it s not moldy. RIAA 5 on back. Disc is also very scratchy.
