This is it. One of fifty copies allegedly ever pressed of Phafner's "Overdrive" LP. 100% original pressing from 1971. I personally located this copy about 40 miles from Marshalltown, Iowa, where it was originally recorded...needless to say, i was shaking. If you are looking at this auction, you probably know how incredibly rare and good this album is, so i won't bore you with a description of the sound. This has been reissued with a different sleeve design a few times, so don't be confused, this is the original sleeve artwork. Condition is as follows: Record: VG+, however it would benefit from a good cleaning on a VPI or other record vacuum of your choice. Plays fine but there is a fair amount of dust resulting in crackle. The vinyl itself is in fantastic shape with only minor scuffs from the inner sleeve. The worst scratch (visually) is pictured, but cannot be felt and does not affect play. Labels are clean with a little spindle marking. Again, a good cleaning would be very beneficial, i don't have access to a vacuum and don't want to mess anything up with an amateur cleaning method. Sleeve: VG. Some ring wear on the front, one slight corner bend (see photos), pencil writing on the "H" of Phafner. No seam splits. Original paper sleeve inside. Matrix numbers can be seen in the photos. This record does not pop up often, so here is your chance to own a real, original copy. Record will be heavily packaged and protected as well as possible, and insured for final price amount. I can ship internationally, for a fee. Shipping in the continental US will be free. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding!
