One of their finest sounding pressings, this hard to find UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial July 1964 release.

This exquisite example is on the black yellow Parlophone label with the earliest chubby style font on both labels: PCS 3058

Both labels include the Sold in the UK... text with a KT purchase tax code around the side 2 centre hole.

Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 XEX 127-1

Stamper codes: 3/RO 1/GA

Vinyl weight: 147g

Housed in a front laminated Garrod Lofthouse printed stereo cover, complete with original rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

CONDITION

Disc

Labels: EXCELLENT

A pristine pair showing a touch of wear to the centre holes but no spindle marks around either.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Immaculate playing surfaces which retain all of their deep-gloss factory shine. The only visible mark in strong daylight blemish is a very faint/light fingernail scuff on track 1 on side 1 which does not affect sound play in any way. Viewed directly beneath halogen light, there is very little to see - just a few faint wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve, but none from a stylus or any other source. Both sides of this exceptional example lie 100 flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: NEAR MINT

Tremendous quality of sound from this barely played example. All tracks play cleanly and clearly with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion, crackle, clicks or any other interference. Aside from a hint of low-level vinyl background on the run-ins and between tracks, there is nothing to fault here but so much to enjoy.

Cover: NEAR MINT

Such a hard cover to find in this condition but this one has been carefully stored in a non-smoking environment these past 52 years.

The front panel is immaculate and retains an unworn high-gloss laminate, free from any thumbnail wrinkles or spine bends.

Apart from the tiniest of bruises to the upper right corner, all are strong, square unworn.

Both front rear opening edges are clean, sharp unworn.
All flipbacks are intact with just two small wrinkles to the upper one being virtually the only trace of wear on this amazing cover.

The exposed, unlaminated rear panel is pristine white and unblemished.

Both the upper lower seams are smooth, unstressed and unsplit.

The spine is clean white and in perfect condition.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean white with just a couple of gentle storage wrinkles and no writing, tears or seams splits.
