Normally I would split these two lectures into two auctions, but they are inextricably linked.
They are backed as A and C, and B and D, etc.
so they could be played as a continuous whole by using two turntables.
But because one was designed to follow immediately after the other in conjunction with the Model Study number 1 booklet the last two sides of Exposed and the first two sides of Religion and Christianity are back to back.
The only way to sell them separately would be to destroy one complete set.
Previous recordings were designed for doorstep set-ups, but these were the first designed for a regular home discussion the Model Study work that started in 1937.
For those interested, the text of these two lectures but with different titles can be found in the booklets Uncovered and Protection.
These are all on the yellow record label.
They were also issued with a blue label, and I have a few sides of these lectures with blue labels that may be offered again, but alas, this is the only complete set I have to offer.
They all came with plain brown covers.
I have replaced a couple that were particularly tattered with modern brown covers.
I assume that the well-known cover that featured a picture of J F Rutherford and some of his books was introduced after this double set.
However, I have included one of the Rutherford covers with this collection.
No records are cracked, and they seem to be in good condition, although with a few small surface marks in places and a few small scratches, as you might expect for items used in the witnesses ministry 80 years ago.
One side P-94-P had a few extra scratches near the center hole the last minute or so of the side which may have been done by a child in the past, but I have played that side and it plays OK without any noticeable extra surface noise.
I have not played the rest of the set personally, but others from the same original collection have all played OK on modern equipment in the past.
The reserve price in this auction reflects the fact that the seller has to provide very specialized packaging for the records to travel safely by carrier.
This special packaging is a cost I will cover.
Each record will be separated by a special 12 square cardboard divider covered in bubble-wrap.
The whole will then be taped together and sent in a specially obtained double-walled cardboard box 18 x 18 x 12 , packed out and suspended in polystyrene chips for extra safety.
The postal/carriage charges will be at cost.
The high international postal charge quoted is for America.
For France for example it would be in the region of 19.74, for Germany in the region of 17.34.
There might be a little extra for extra insurance if appropriate, depending on what the package sells for.
