This is a limited edition library of Original Master Recordings exclusively transferred direct from The Beatles original recording studio master tapes.
Each record is painstakingly recorded at half speed to capture every detail of sonic information from the masters. The pressings are not made on ordinary vinyl but on an exclusive compound called Super Vinyl. Super Vinyl gives each Original Master Recording an extraordinarily quiet playing surface. It is heavier and harder than ordinary vinyl. And it has no “memory”. You can play an Original Master Recording over and over without having to let the disc rest after each play. The lifespan of an Original Master Recording is many times longer than a conventional, mass produced LP. To really appreciate the purity of this Super Vinyl, hold one of the discs up to a light source. You can actually see through it!
While on the subject of quality, consider these other sonic safeguards offered with this collection. Each disc, already in a “rice paper” sleeve, is enclosed in a reinforced stiff insert board, supplying additional protection from breakage or warpage. The combined LP, sleeve and stiffener are then inserted into a custom fabricated album jacket for enhanced protection. Those complete album packages are then filed in an injection molded, high impact styrene divider rack. This unique inner structure provides permanent protection and a handy catalogue system for your collection. To allow you optimum playback of your Beatles Collection, included is a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Geo-Disc. The Geo-Disc is an ultra-precise alignment instrument, which permits you to easily align your turntable’s cartridge to within 3/1000th’s of an inch accuracy. It will improve the playback performance of your stereo system to an incredible degree.
The Beatles have always been known for their enthralling album cover graphics which, with each new release, seemed continuously ahead of their time. To properly preserve and pay tribute to these contemporary works of art, MFSL has reprinted each of the stylistically unique English Beatles album covers in chronological order in the beautiful booklet seen pictured. This booklet also includes amazing information about MFSL and the process by which they created this masterpiece.
This collection has only been played on my Thorens TD-124 transcription turntable with an SME 3009 tonearm and Shure cartridge. The vinyl is in amazing shape. You won’t be disappointed. The covers have minor wear on the edges only as seen in the picture. The case itself is in great shape with minor marks on the edges as seen in the pictures.
