FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE.
THIS IS A TRUE PROG MONSTER AND RARE BEYOND BELIEF
This is an original UK first pressing of one of the most highly prized progressive rock
records ever released in the UK and it is also a FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE
record which means it will be one of the very FIRST copies they ever pressed
Factory sample records are pressed in tiny numbers because they are only
pressed as a quality control exercise. You may only ever see one FACTORY
SAMPLE record to every couple of HUNDRED of the stock copies of this LP they ever
pressed. So only a tiny handful of these were ever pressed this is a serious, SERIOUSLY
rare UK ORIGINAL of an already impossible record to locate.
Once the manufacturer is happy with the quality of the product then the go ahead
is given to press the STOCK COPIES to be sent out to the record shops for sale.
What a great sleeve. A shot of a native American or REDSKIN crying tears of blood
I believe at the time they were given the racial slur and called RED DIRT by the cowboys .
To me this is not a prog rock LP, it is simply a rock LP and it is one of the best rock LP s
ever made . Track after track of magnificent music, how this group are not massive
is a crime.
The none gate fold laminated sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition throughout.
Very slight ring ware to the back the slightest corner ding bottom left, all other corners
are sharp. The spine is in EXCELLENT condition and all spinal writings can be read
clearly. The original inner sleeve is here and also EXCELLENT.
Side one of the vinyl is BEAUTIFUL . There are no spindle trails to side one and the
label is lovely and clean and bares the factory sticker saying FACTORY SAMPLE
NOT FOR SALE. The highest luster sheen to side one with hardly anything visible under
normal house lighting. Under a spot light there are a few ultra lite hairlines. But nothing that
affects the playback and the play of this CORKER is incredible. A rich warm sound
that you only get from original 1970 s vinyl. Side one plays entirely with no problems
at all.
Side two the label also bare the factory sticker stating FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE .
This label only shows a couple of spindle trails. Again it has a beautiful sheen and only when
tilted in the light you can see the lightest hairlines put there from removing the record
from its paper inner sleeve over the last 48 years.
The vinyl grades as EXCELLENT condition. This side also plays exquisitely with no problems
to report.
You can wait years for one of these to come along. For a FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE
pressing to show up.....This is a truly IMPOSSIBLE find. In 40 years of seriously collecting
I have never seen another one of these This is a rare rare, RARE OPPORTUNITY
for the HARDEST OF THE HARD of you record collectors to put a real JEWEL in the
crown of your collection
What a centerpiece
