Legendary and amazing album that simply anticipates countless future experiments in New Age field and World music but also in Avantgarde and Electronic genre. ANTICO ADAGIO - debut album by the maestro - is entirely built with a rich set of percussions with small strings section and vocal lines by Vaccina himself and Juri Camisasca. A mindblowing collection of long, subtle and thoughtful compositions, crafted with vibraphone, marimba, tablas, darbuke, gong, cymbals, bells, metal sheets, tom and snare all credited to Vaccina alone. Pure kind of tone that creates a connection between Minimal of music of the 70s and modern Electronic music with resplendent, beatiful moments and darker, gnarled sounds. We find clear connections with Terry Riley and late Pink Floyd Progressive sounds of the period, with further reminiscents of Art Rock styles like This Heat band or the seminal Avant-garde Jazz of Pharoah Sanders. Sonor-ecology is the sound from this stunning album as defined by the artist himself. Unlimited reserves of percussions accompained by localized echoed vocals overlapped to bells and vibes for a unique transcendent harmony / slow rhythmical pulses with Tribal and Abstract atmospheres / ethereal sounds interrupted by dark clangors and rumbles / harmonical structures as much fluctuating as Minimal.
