Released in 1960, More Songs By Ricky was the last album the artist used under the diminutive form of his name -- thereafter being billed professionally as Rick Nelson.
This album saw wide, general release in a gatefold jacket, the interior of which features a gallery of Ricky's appearance in film and television, along with a few more candid photos which depict the artist as he goes about his day-to-day life.
But there was more! A large, fold-out poster was included in this release, and intended for the Ricky fan to easily remove from the gatefold and display on their wall. Nowadays, when one finds a vintage copy of this album, the poster is almost always missing -- not hard to believe when you consider the nature of the item, much less the fact that it's now almost sixty years after its release.

About the blue vinyl Promotional Edition:
The blue vinyl version of this record was pressed in a low number, and distributed only within the music trade.
We know of but one other copy of this Promo to have sold at auction, so it's fair to say it isn't something you're likely to see very often, and much less intact as it was originally issued.
About this particular copy:
Here's a true rarity, indeed. For not only is the poster still attached to the gatefold, it has moreover been signed by the artist using his adult working name ("Best of luck Rick Nelson") using a red felt-tipped pen!
With our auction we have decided to set a modest reserve price, with the hope that this one will manage to find someone who can truly appreciate it for what it is.
In fact, it came from a very special collection indeed, and was cherished by a lifelong fan of Mr. Rick Nelson and who had seen him play many times.
Remarks On Condition of Item:
Vinyl: Solid VG+, with minimal surface markings (scuffing.)
Sleeve: Tight spine, no split seams. Clear tape on one edge, sticker residue, minimal wear from age.
NOTE: We package all records outside outer sleeve to prevent splitting which might occur during shipping.
