Item Description

Hi, and welcome to psych_out! auctions!!!

I've collected50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre -Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul,Rhythm 'n' Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between for all my life!!!Obviously, 90% of the LP's I've ever gotten hold of are completelytrashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? Reluctantly, I've decided tooffer themto all of you serious record collectors out there!!! I'm currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid goldmusic history out there!!!Make no mistake, I'lltry my best to consistently offer some of theVERY BESTrecords available on ebay, many which have taken me YEARS to find!!!

I aim to put a weekly batch up (time permitting) every Wednesday, all timed to end 10 days later on Saturday night. I'll only everofferTHE BEST, MOST AMAZING,MOST IMPORTANT,VERYRAREST UK 1ST PRESSORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDSI've got!!! I won't insult you with later 2ndpressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP,direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered",weak reissued, remixedrubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these sessionmen really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).

I try tobe one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music!!! I strictly grade all LP's I list, visually and sonicallyusing the UK RRPG standardsas customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and I'll always do my very best not to let you down. Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i'll be listing some gems that you just WON'T want to miss out on!!!

I think that's everything, so let the auction commence!!!

ONE OF THE GREATEST DEBUT LP'SEVER!!! Most won't need me to tell you how UNBELIEVABLY RARE a true "Turquoise" 1st Press of this LP truly is, but for those who need filling in - Just as this monumental debutwasfirst going to press in 1969, a last minute decision was made by the band and manager Peter Grant (and what Grant says goes!!!) that the greeny blue text on the front just wasn't the right look for this mean rock 'n' roll band, immediately changing it to a much more violent and announcing orange text which would leap off the sleeve with more intent and vigour!!! As a result, it's said that only a small shipment ofno more than 2000with the Turquoise sleevesEVER left the plant resulting straight away in EASILY the most valuable and rarestLed ZepLP to EVER be commercially released!!!
These barely EVER turn up (ESPECIALLY like this!!!), with the tiny amount remaining being immediately snapped up by the rabid Led Zep faithful dotted across the globe, soit's always a MONUMENTAL moment when one of these TRUE DAY OF RELEASE EARLIEST EVER examples come up for sale, especially in such a truly MAGNIFICENT condition!!! About : Ultra RareOriginal 1969 UK 1st Press!!! ThisMASSIVELY RARELPinitially sold barely anything (LP's were also really expensive to most people back then!!!) and thereforehad a verysmall run, and isINCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absoluteclassic LP from this incredible band!!!Anastonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on thisMEGA RARE LP!!! If you like good music, bid now!!!

The LP :

Labels :
ClassicUK red & plum Superhype Atlantic 1st Press labels!!!Both sides are FANTASTIC with NO real signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has a small amount of ultra light spindle marks which suggests that this has barely had much play over the years at all!!! AWESOME for a 47 year old record!!! Both must grade overall at least as Very Good+++!!!
Record:Visual -
Spectacular Original 1970 UK 1st Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks INCREDIBLE with NO nasty scratches, groovewear, or nasty deep scuffs whatsoever!!! The only blemishes off perfection are just one or two BARELY VISIBLE totally non-sounding cosmetic scuffs, a few of the lightest, wispy sleeve traces/cleaning lines (only visible in strong angled light) and only one or two ULTRA light non sounding hairlines mostly from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes affect play AT ALL!!! PHENOMENAL for a record of this age and rarity!!! You'll be amazed by how generally clean and unworn it is!!! Must grade overall at least as Very Good+++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Record : Audio-
Thankfully, it plays AMAZINGLY with fantastic stereo separation and clarity!!! It really sounds incredible with NO hisses, hops, distortion, skips OR sticks!!! Only like pretty much ALL records has only a small amount of ultra light ticks on the very rarest of occasions, and possibly just the MEREST TOUCH of low level static in the rarest few and far between places such as on the run in grooves and between some tracks, but that's truly about it!!! The vast, vast, majority of the music is TRULY crystal clear - It really does play with a CD-like near 100% black silence, but with that bass, depth, clarity and warmth you can only get from original UK vinyl!!! EVEN the vast majority of the quiet sections!!! Absolutely ESSENTIAL!!! ASTONISHING for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audibly at the very least as Excellent+!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Sleeve:
Original 1969 1st Press fully laminated “MacNeill” TURQUOISE sleeve complete with inner!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT, and looks AWESOME, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO splits, NO graffiti, NO seam wear, NO bad marks AT ALL, and still ultra strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has just a few mild signs of ageing such as just a small amount of light creasing and the merest hint of a record imprint, only a minor little scuffline to the centre of the front and just a slight touch of laminate lifting along parts of the spine (INCREDIBLY common with fully laminated sleeves - truly minimal), a slight touch of denting to the four corners which virtually ALL vintage sleeves have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to bring it down by listing the most minor negatives I can find, but this truly is a FANTASTIC sleeve, and a SERIOUS rarity to find one as incredible as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! It remains ultra strong, solid, undulled, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit, and 100% readable!!! Must grade overall at least as Very Good+++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)

Summary : An OUTSTANDING earliest ever Superhype exampleof this IMPOSSIBLY RARE classic Turquoise original 1969 DAY OF RELEASE UK 1st Press LP!!! Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AS THIS!!! YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history!!! Bid now!!!

I've realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use fromthe years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wearand willplay fantastically wellwith plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps!
