SPRING, SELF TITLED VERY RARE FIRST ISSUE UK 1971 RCA/NEON RECORD LABEL LP IN BLACK INNER BAG AND THREE-FOLD GATE-FOLD SLEEVE, Cat No, NE 6.
Spring was a Leicester-based British progressive rock band that represented the early 1970s progressive rock movement. A one-shot band, it recorded only one album in its career, a self-titled LP released in 1971. Spring s music is notable for the use of the mellotron, with three of its five members credited with playing that instrument on the album. Spring originally consisted of Pat Moran vocals , Ray Martinez guitars , Kips Brown keyboards , Pick Withers drums and Adrian Maloney bass , all of whom had previously played in various local Leicester bands. This is an original and very rare 1971 one and only album release from the UK, Leicester-Based British Progressive Rock Band, Spring. The LP comes in its original Made in Great Britain black inner bag and is housed in its original non laminated, Howards Printers Slough Ltd, three-fold picture sleeve.
Both record labels are in beautiful Near Mint condition. A careful look at the labels reveal hardly any signs of play visible. Both record labels are undamaged, all printed text is unfaded.
Side 1 matrix s AGBS 0521-A-1. and Side 2. AGBS 0522-B-1.
There are some small lettering s that read A L on side 1 and A I A on side 2.
Both sides of the heavy quality vinyl LP are in stunning Near Mint condition, the vinyl LP is a beautiful example and the best condition that i have seen to date. When held under strong lighting all that is visible are a few bag removal, very light hairlines, and under normal daylight are not visible.
The LP play s without faults, a superb, clear and sound quality with no skips, clicks or pops, and only very mild background static.
The LP comes in it s original black die-cut Made in Great Britain inner bag, and is housed in it s original three-fold gate-fold picture sleeve, the front and back of the sleeve are in Excellent Plus condition, the front and back panels show only mild handling signs, there are no seam splits or tears to any part of the sleeve, with just light rub marks to the edges..
The centre part of the sleeve is also in Excellent Plus condition.
