Columbia Records (United States) ABS-1
This 5 LP promotional box set was released by Billy Joel's music publisher April Blackwood Music in 1979. The box set contains five studio albums; Piano Man, Streetlife Serenade, Turnstiles, The Stranger and 52nd Street. It was issued in a hinge style box with a lyric folio and an introductory letter (which no other listing on ebay has mentioned this included). The 48 page lyric folio measures 8.5" x 11" has the songs from the 5 LPs in alphabetical order with a cross referenced index identifying the disc, the side and the track number of each title. The single page letter also measures 8.5" x 11". The five discs all have white promotional labels. The discs were placed in premium poly lined inner sleeves. The box is in excellent plus condition with it's only flaw being a bumped corner. The folio and letter are in near mint condition.
The condition of the discs are:
Piano Man - Excellent
Streetlife Serenade - Excellent
Turnstiles - Near Mint
The Stranger - Excellent
52nd Street - Near Mint
