MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND Philips Records very first Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1968 by Philips Records, catalog number A-140, with hand etched matrix numbers A-140A AA in Side 1 and A-140-B AA in Side B, with traditional blue/silver Philips Records labels and push-out center. This MEGARARE EP of Johnny Hallyday doesn t really need introduction, it s one of the top rarities from Chile. It was released here in Chile the same year it was released in France but with an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE only used here in Chile and made of 2 single sheets of hard paper or thin cardboard for front and back covers and kept held by a plastic bag. One of the things you will hear about this EP is that some copies had the PS and other copies no. That s not true. All copies of this EP had the PS and original plastic bag was a bit shorter than sheets of paper, so in the mouth edge the cover seems to be larger than plastic bag please see the pictures and for this reason most of people changed the original plastic bag. Most of times this EP has been auctioned here in eBay the original plastic bag is not present. So, here you have the chance to own this MEGARARE EP complete As you can see the song titles are written in Spanish only, with credits for songwriters and the additional information that songs are from the film Les Poynettes . You can also notice a little print error in back cover, in the credits for the song Un Mal Sue o , the dot after the G of G. Aber and the ending bracket are missed, Micky Jones/G ABER de la . The cover was already described and it s in great EX or EX the front cover, complete, clean and clear, with only some creases and minimal wear in the mouth edge, more evident in corners, and in EX or NM- condition the back cover, with only minimal creases and wear, more evident in corners too, and some age browning, more evident in the mouth edge. This is the cover in best condition I ve seen auctioned here in eBay. The record is in EX- or EX condition both sides, glossy and clean, with scuffs and some soft hairlines which don t affect play and as you can see in the pictures the push-out center is intact. Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole and general wear. The sound is in great EX or EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise surface noise is normal in records from Chile , only minimal occasional crackles here and there, which don t really affect the experience to listen and enjoy this record from the beginning to the end. And, maybe a curiosity or maybe some fault in this copy, the record doesn t stop to spin at the end of the deadwax in Side 1 and I have an automatic turntable . Overall this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS and will satisfy any serious collector And don t forget the UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, UNIQUE SONG TITLES WRITTEN IN SPANISH ONLY, THE PUSH-OUT CENTER INTACT and THIS COPY IS COMPLETE WITH THE PLASTIC BAG Yes Sirs, what a FIND Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. We don t use the generic VG most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or NM or Mint for records which aren t even clean and sound less than a normal VG in professional standards. We use the Record Collector s Grading System with a little modification: we don t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a or to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT M : I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT NM : The record itself is in like
new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality only
some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the
sleeve . The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or
poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT EX : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there
is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which
doesn t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or
creasing.
VERY GOOD VG : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays
no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and
the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra
items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD G : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has
noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The
cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits,
discoloration, etc.
FAIR F : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for
properly and displays considerable surface noise it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR P : The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface
noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD B : The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide:
GBP15 for weight until 1kg usually 1 or 2 records 12 depending of thickness of the vinyl
GBP25 for weight 1-2kg usually 3-5 records 12
GBP7 for one 7 record
All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
