Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries Italy, Russia, France, in particular has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.
We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. The top 10 success of the 1968 smash Dance To The Music enabled the band to not only to play the colleges but also turn to the bigger ballrooms. Sharing the bill with well known acts like the Jimi Hendrix Experience. As a matter of fact it was Sly s band driving the people insane and their live reputation grew. The third album Life didn t produce any hits which in retrospect is hard to believe because it delivered the same irresistible grooves that urge the listener to play over and over again....
1968 s LIFE was the bastard offspring of gutbucket soul and psychedelic rock. The collected early works of Sly Stone, provide a musical bridge between James Brown s bedrock grooves and George Clinton s cosmic slop. A former DJ and veteran music-biz hustler, Sly was a supernaturally gifted band leader, arranger, player, producer, songwriter and onstage instigator. The lyrics of his catchy choruses tempered uplifting messages with urban reality his flashy persona and streetwise cool set the style standard for the superbad, superslick early 70s.
Life is where Sly s dazzling all-things-to-all-people vision snaps into full focus. Dynamite explodes in a hailstorm of volatile, feedback-laced rock. Plastic Jim, Into My Own Thing and Love City connect hippie idealism to wickedly syncopated rhythms. And the joyously hedonistic party numbers Fun, M Lady just won t quit.
