This is the first issue of the 12" single “U2-Three”, which was U2's first release. This special single was printed in 1979 in a limited edition of 1000 and has a hand-numbered sticker on a CBS Sleeve.

Label: Ireland is spelled correctly. The band's names appear on both sides of the record near the label in the dead wax. “Made in England” on bottom. Bold typeface for “U2”. Stereo is written in big letters (STEREO). No CBS inc. on bottom of the label.

Sticker: Hand-numbered by Jackie Hayden. All copies have either black or blue ink numbers.

The record is no 225 of the original 1000 and was purchased in Murray’s Records on Grafton Street, Dublin, on the day of release in 1979 and is being sold by the original purchaser. There is some ring-wear to the sleeve and the disc has some minor surface scratches i.e. it has been played (though not for 30 years and it still plays perfectly) and is in very good condition.
