This is a rare 6 track Beatles EP, "MEET THE BEATLES", which I understand was pressed in the USAin 1964specifically to be played on Juke Boxes. However this is NOT an ex Juke Box record. I bought the record newin about 1971 and it has never left my collection. I can honestly say it has been played no more than 5 or6 times. It was bought as a collectors' item and not to be played repeatedly.
This is a stereo EP with 6 tracks as follows:
It Won't Be Long This Boy All My Loving
Don't Bother Me All I've Got to Do I Wanna Be Your Man
(Please note the record plays at 33 rpm and not 45)
The record is in excellent condition. I am not a record dealer and so am not that used to describing records but I am familiar with the Record Collector magazinevinyl grading system. The record is not mint but I would say it that it is at least"Excellent", maybe even with a plus after that.
There are one or two light surface marks on the record and label but nothing serious. It plays perfectly. No hops skips or jumps. Sound quality is excellent to my ears. I listened to the record on headphones the other dayand it sounds clear and bright. There are no repetitive clicks caused by scratches for example.
The sleeve is also in great condiiton. The front is virtually mint. There is some light brownfoxing/staining to the reverse (see photos)
The record comes with the original loose polythene cover that it was supplied in ( it was sealed when I bought it) and also the blue plastic juke box title strip supplied by The Star Title Strip Co Inc. of Pittsburgh. I am aware that the record was also supplied with a strip of "mini LP covers" but sadly and annoyingly these have gone missing over the years.
