Item Description

RARITY:

As many people may already know, I usually end all my items on Sunday nights (and these will still continue!)!!!! Howeveras I had quite a few extra items of UTMOST RARITY come in to me this week (they really are TOP QUALITY, and NOT cheap overstock!) and completely ran out of time to list them last Sunday - I decided to do a 'one off' set of listings of Wednesday auctions ending on Wednesday 2nd July!!!! So PLEASE NOTE that this auction will end late on Wednesday 2nd July (and NOT Sunday!) - though of course, I will be putting more auctions on during the week for next Sundays auctions!!!! And please don’t forget take a look at my other auctions, as there really is some AMAZING items listed!!!! Thanks for reading and please take a look at this AMAZING item below:-

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) byThe Rolling Stones called "Aftermath" and is an ORIGINAL1966UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press UNBOXED'Grooved' Decca label!!!! THISLP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE ROLLING STONES RAREST LPS EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs ON THE DECCA LABEL - AND IS INCREDIBLY TOUGH TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT ISTHE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE, WITH AN ULTRA RARE 'PURPLE SHADOW' COVER!!!! AND THIS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!! WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - THE ORIGINAL DESIGN INCLUDED A 'PURPLE SHADOW' BEHIND THE TITLE 'AFTERMATH' ON THE COVER FRONT (SEE PICTURES)!!!! HOWEVER, AT THE LAST MINUTE THIS DESIGN WAS DROPPED - AND THE 'PURPLE SHADOW' ON THE COVER FRONT WAS THEN REMOVED ON ALL LATER COVERS!!!! BEFORE THIS HAPPENED HOWEVER,AN ABSOLUTELY TINY FEW LEAKED OUT INTO CIRCULATION - BEFORE IT WAS WITHDRAWN!!!! AS A RESULT, ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - EVER CAME LIKE THIS (NO MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED AT THE VERY MOST!), AND THIS MAKES THIS LP ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST ROLLING STONES EVER MADE!!!! SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL -THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP EVER MADE!!!!

BUT THERE ARE OTHER DETAILS - THAT MAKE THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL, AND QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!! AND FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW - HERE ARE ALL THE DIFFERENCES BELOW - WHICH ONLY EXISTED ON THIS 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'WITHDRAWN' SHADOW COVER ONLY!!!! HERE ARE THE ALL IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES:-

1) THE TITLE ON THE COVER FRONT HAS A 'PURPLE SHADOW' BEHIND IT (SEE PICTURE) WHICH WAS REMOVED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!

2) THE 'LK 4786' CAT NUMBER ON THE REVERSE IS SET BELOW THE WORD 'MONO' IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THE COVER BACK - WHEREAS ON ALL LATER COVERS THE 'LK 4786' TEXTWAS MOVED TO THE RIGHT!!!!

4) AT THE TOP OF THE COVER BACK ON THIS 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSCOVER - THE WORDS 'AFTER-MATH THE ROLLING STONES' ARE MUCH LARGER THAN LATER COVERS!!!!

5) THE BACK COVER PICTURE IS NOTICEABLY SMALLER ON THIS 'SHADOW COVER' AND MADE LARGER ON LATER ISSUES.

6) THE WORDS 'AFTERMATH' AND 'THE ROLLING STONES' ARE SET MUCH HIGHER UP ON THE SPINE ON THIS 'SHADOW COVER' - WHEREAS ALL LATER ONES HAD THEM SET LOWER. STRANGELY THE BOTTOM SPINE TEXT 'DECCA MONO LK 4786' ALWAYS REMAINED IN THE SAME PLACE.

7) ON THIS 'SHADOW COVER' THE WHOLE COVER IS 'UNDERSIZED' (SLIGHTLY SMALLER THAN ALL LATER COVERS!) RESULTING IN THE RIGHT HAND 'BOX' ON THE COVER BACK (CONTAINING ALL THE CREDITS & TRACK LISTINGS!) BEING TOO LARGE AND GOING OFF THE EDGE OF THE TOP & BOTTOM OF THE COVER. ON ALL LATER COPIES THIS WAS CORRECTED WITH A 'WHITE BORDER' AROUND THE TOP & BOTTOM OF THE BOX ON THE COVER BACK.

8) THE PICTURE ON THE COVER BACK IS NOTICEABLY 'CLEARER' ON THIS 'SHADOW COVER' - WHEREAS ON ALL LATER COVERS IT IS SLIGHTLY BLURRED.

THESE AREALL THE AMAZING DIFFERENCES THAT THIS 'EARLIEST EVER' COVER CAME WITH - BEFORE IT WAS WITHDRAWN AND COMPLETELY REDESIGNED!!!! SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST', RAREST & MOST SOUGHT 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! AND THIS REALLY IS INCREDIBLY RARE ON THIS LP!!!! USUALLY EITHER THE 'SHADOW' COVER OR THE RECORD INSIDE IT IS DAMAGED OR WORN - AS THIS LP WAS BOUGHT BY THE MOST FANATICAL ROLLING STONES FANS WHO PLAYED IT TO DEATH!!!! BUT THIS ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING HAS REMAINED IN BRILLIANT CONDITION (BOTH COVER & RECORD!) AND IS ALMOST NEVER SEEN LIKE THIS NOW!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS ISTHEORIGINAL 1966 UK 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSINGON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'GROOVED' UNBOXED DECCA LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS'ROBERT STACE'LAMINATED 'PURPLE SHADOW' COVER (WITH ALL THE AMAZING 'EARLIEST EVER' COVER DIFFERENCES CLEARLY LISTED ABOVE!)!!!! THIS LP ISSERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This isthe ORIGINAL Decca UK MONO 1st Pressing from 1966 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is LK 4786 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press UNBOXED 'Grooved' Decca label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are inSUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scufflines, only2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, only 2 absolutely TINY surface marks, andonly a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible underlight!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!! It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLYasthe visual!!!! Therecord plays with NO skips, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must grade Very Good+++ if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!! The ULTRA RARE 'Earliest' 1st Press 'Robert Stace' Laminated 'Purple Shadow' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO rips, NO tears, only afew VERY light creases(cover is VERY flat looking!), only the usual line of laminate lifting along the spinal edge, NO splits, shiny laminate, NO annotations, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the coveris in BRILLIANT condition with NO ringwear, only 1 TINY grubby mark to the EXTREME right, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!! The covermust grade grade Very Good+++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLETO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
I supported with the description of a guy i bought this rare lp from couple of years ago. Everything was checked by me and only I can do is to confirm above information saying that gradig of the vinyl is really very conservative.

Thanks for looking! Cheers!!!!!
