Item Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP especially in this condition by The Who called Live At Leeds and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on 1st Press Custom Track labels THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST WHO LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE IT IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs ON THE TRACK LABEL - AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - AND IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO ALL LATER PRESSINGS AND THIS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP ONLY A FEW HUNDRED OF THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS WERE EVER MADE LIKE THIS - AND THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENCES ON THIS 1ST PRESSING, WHICH ALL LATER PRESSINGS SIMPLY NEVER HAD AND THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE CHANCE INDEED, TO OWN THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH SOME INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCES TO EVERY SINGLE PART OF THE LP THESE AMAZING DIFFERENCES I WILL DESCRIBE ONLY APPLIED TO THE FIRST FEW HUNDRED OF THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE - AND THESE DIFFERENCES TRULY MAKE THIS LP ONE OF THE RAREST WHO LPs EVER

I WILL NOW EXPLAIN EVERY SINGLE DIFFERENCE - AND ANYONE WILL BE AMAZED AT THE VAST DIFFERENCES WHEN YOU READ DOWN THE LIST I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO STRESS THAT EVERY SINGLE PART OF THIS LP IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL FROM 1970 - AND ABSOLUTELY NO PART HAS EVER BEEN SWOPPED OR CHANGED IN ANY RESPECT I WILL NOW EXPLAIN THE AMAZING DIFFERENCES:-

FIRSTLY AND MOST OBVIOUSLY THE GATEFOLD COVER HAS THE RAREST AND EARLIEST EVER BLACK PRINT ON THE COVER FRONT AND ON THE INSIDE THIS ULTRA RARE BLACK PRINT WAS ONLY EVER USED ON THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - AND THIS WAS CHANGED IMMEDIATELY AFTER RELEASE TO THE VERY COMMON BLUE OR RED PRINTED COVERS THAT FOLLOWED LATER SECONDLY THE VINYL IS THICK LATER ONES ARE NOTICEABLY THINNER , SQUARE EDGED LATER ONES ARENT , AND THE MATRIX ENDINGS ARE THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE - BEING A//1 B//1 LATER ONES ARENT BUT WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT ABOUT THIS LP IS THAT EVERY INSERT IS THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE AND FROM THE FIRST BATCH OF INSERTS EVER MADE AND THIS TREMENDOUSLY IMPORTANT BECAUSE THESE INSERTS WERE MADE DIRECT FROM THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS - AND ONLY THE FIRST BATCH EVER MADE, WAS 100 EXACT IN COLOUR DETAIL NATURALLY THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS COULDNT BE USED AGAIN EXCEPT ON THE FIRST BATCH ONLY AND SO THESE INSERTS QUICKLY BECAME FAINTER, POORER QUALITY, AND QUICKLY LOOKED TERRIBLE LATER INSERTS WERE IN EFFECT COPIES OF COPIES - SO IT IS SO VERY IMPORTANT TO OBTAIN A GENIUNE 100 GENIUNE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING SET - LIKE THIS ONE HAS AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER - THAT ANY SET WITHOUT EVERY SINGLE 1ST PRESS ONLY DETAIL ON THEIR INSERTS SEE BELOW - IS DEFINITELY NOT ORIGINAL BUT NOT THESE INSERTS JUST LIKE THE REST OF THIS LP - THE INSERTS INSIDE IT WERE THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE, AND ARE ABSOLUTELY EXACT IN EVERY RESPECT IN OTHER WORDS - THEY LOOK REAL AND THIS IS VITALLY IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE WANTING TO CHECK THEIR OWN 1ST PRESSING BECAUSE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EVERY SINGLE DETAIL CORRECT ON EACH INSERT THAT I AM ABOUT TO DESCRIBE, THEN YOU DO NOT HAVE A 1ST PRESSING OR WORSE STILL - YOU MAY HAVE PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN SWOPPED FROM ANOTHER LP HOWEVER I HAVE PERFECT HISTORY WITH THIS LP - AND KNOW WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THAT EVERY SINGLE PART OF THIS LP INCLUDING EVERY SINGLE INSERT IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL TO THIS LP - AND IS THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET I WILL NOW EXPLAIN IN DETAIL ABOUT EACH INDIVIDUAL INSERT BELOW:

1 The Small NOTICE Insert:- It is made on CORRECT thinner paper later ones are thicker and is hole punched to the left later ones arent , the print is in Navy Blue later ones are bright blue , and the writing is in VERY dark blue later ones are black . It is also worth noting that on the second written line it states Mr Lambert - Who - whereas on many later pressings the word Who is missing

2 The Small DELIVERY NOTE insert:- It made on CORRECT thin typewriter paper later ones are thicker normal paper , and the typed text looks EXACTLY as any typewriter would later ones look obviously printed in dark black .

3 The MY GENERATION LYRICS typed insert with handwritten annotiations :- It is made on CORRECT thin paper later ones are thicker , has PERFECT typewriter text later ones are darker and look terrible , the pencil handwritten annotations look EXACTLY like pencil later ones look obviously printed and there are THREE handwritten stars - two on the right 1 on the left later ones only have two .

4 The KINGS AGENCY insert:- It is made on CORRECT thinner paper later ones are thicker and is hole punched to the left later ones arent . The print is EXACT and the Barry Perkins signature is the absolute PERFECT dark blue biro colour and detail later ones arent .

5 The NEW ACTION LTD insert:- It is made on CORRECT thinner paper later ones are thicker , folded along the central line later ones are NOT , The Action logo is in light grey later ones arent , the New Action Ltd is in the CORRECT and EXACT shade of Blue, and the handwritten Red Felt Tipped Pen looks EXACTLY correct in colour detail unlike later ones which are obviously printed .

6 The HIGH NUMBERS typed payment insert:- It is made in the CORRECT Yellow Colour later ones arent , is made with CORRECT thin typewriter paper later ones are on thicker normal paper , is folded along the central line later ones arent , and the typewriter text is EXACT later ones look obviously printed .

7 The PREMIER TALENT ASSOCIATES Contract Insert:- It is made in the CORRECT Yellow Colour later ones arent , is folded along the central line later ones arent , is made on CORRECT thin typewriter paper later ones are on thicker normal paper , the Received stamp at the bottom is PERFECT and COMPLETE later ones are so badly printed that most of this is missing , and BOTH signatures at the bottom are EXACTLY correct in colour detail later ones arent .

8 The EMI RECORDS correspondence insert:- It is made on CORRECT thinner paper later ones are thicker , and the typeface, EMI Title Colour John Burgess signature are EXACTLY correct in colour and detail later ones arent - and look obviously printed .

9 The MARQUEE CLUB payments insert:- It is made on CORRECT thinner paper later ones are thicker , hole punched to the left later ones arent , the handwritten details are in BLUE and are EXACT in detail, and the typeface is EXACT later ones arent .

10 The Small PICTURE OF THE WHO photograph insert:- ALL faces background are PERFECT in detail colour later ones arent , and IMPORTANTLY every face eyes of EVERY Who member are FULLY visible and 100 clear later ones were badly printed, much darker, and lack detail . It is also printed on photographic style card - with a photographic glossy front and a rough textured reverse later ones dont .

11 The GUITAR OVERHEAD with handwritten text on the reverse insert:- This has to be regarded as one of the most IMPORTANT inserts of all It was changed soonest - and only a few hundred were ever made like this As a GENIUNE Earliest 1st Press insert - it is printed on thinner matt paper to the front back later ones are thicker and have a different texture , and the picture is PERFECT in detail later ones arent . HOWEVER MOST IMPORTANTLY see pictures is the handwritten text on the reverse It is also factory folded across the middle later ones arent It is PERFECT in COLOUR DETAIL and most importantly is dark blue, and looks absolutely EXACT. All later ones are obviously badly printed - or a terribly crude bright blue colour which looks obviously fake . It is also worth noting that the crude handwritten picture in the middle is COMPLETE with SIX lines in the upper portion FIVE lines crossed through in the lower portion later ones have most of it missing .

12 The Large MARQUEE Poster:- Is CORRECTLY printed with a VERY light semi-gloss front later ones were shiny and a HEAVILY textured reverse to the poster later ones dont . And of course later ones renamed this poster Live At Leeds deleting the ORIGINAL Marquee text

AND ALL THESE AMAZING DIFFERENCES PUT TOGETHER ARE SIMPLY INCREDIBLE EVERY SINGLE INSERT IS EXACT, CORRECT, AND PERFECT IN REPRESENTATION COLOUR - AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT ALL LATER PRESSINGS DO NOT HAVE BASICALLY - ALL THE INSERTS REALLY DO LOOK ABSOLUTELY REAL TO FIND ANY BLACK PRINTED 1ST PRESSING IS HARD ENOUGH - BUT TO FIND ONE THAT IS SO CLEARLY 100 COMPLETE WITH EVERY SINGLE PART COMPLETELY ORIGINAL TO THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING RUN WAY BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE AND THIS MAKES THIS LP ONE OF THE RAREST IF NOT THE RAREST WHO LPs EVER TO BE OFFERED FOR SALE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY

MY POSTAGE UNDERCHARGE GUARANTEE TO ALL BUYERS I always undercharge on postage :- Due to UK Royal Mail s obscene price increases this year - I have had no choice but to increase postage charges a little. Until this year - I had kept them exactly the same since I joined ebay back in 2002. However this years price increases have been so obscene, that I have had no choice but to increase my postage charges for the first time ever. However PLEASE NOTE - my absolute 100 guarantee to you as a buyer - is that I will ALWAYS undercharge postage on everything I send out. Even after the increases, I am still charging you the buyer LESS than I am being charged myself. On each package I send out - the price is clearly stated on the front of the package please check it when you recieve it . I also do NOT charge for packaging costs - ONLY for postal costs And should you find that I have overcharged you postage in ANY way - I will refund DOUBLE the difference. THAT IS MY 100 POSTAL GUARANTEE FOR EACH AND EVERY BUYER No buyer EVER deserves to be overcharged on postage - and on my listings, I ll make sure they are ALWAYS undercharged. Any questions - please ask
