![]() This is the MEGA RARE 1963 UK PARLOPHONE DEMONSTRATION Vinyl 45 for The Beatles second UK single release, Please Please Me/Ask Me Why, It is estimated that only around 200 copies of this Beatles Demo were sent out to DJs prior to the general release on 11th January 1963. **This is a 100% genuine Demonstration vinyl disc, and shows the correct 'oversized' labels which go over the serrated rim of the disc, and also bears a large red 'A' on the 'Please, Please Me' Side one label** Accompanying the Demonstration single is a rare and official two page Press Release, with printed text announcing the release of The Beatles second UK single. ![]() The Vinyl 45 is on the Parlophone Record Labels with the Traditional White with Bold Red ‘A’ label on side 1, and white label with Black print on side 2, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim and the wording ‘DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE’ printed to both sides of the record labels, together with the catalogue number of 45-R 4983. Side 1 record label is in Excellent condition, a superb very clean record label, all the printed text is unfaded and clearly legible, all that is visible are a few signs of play to the centre spindle hole, and a small faint name in the white area of the centre.

![]() Side 2 record label is in Excellent to Excellent plus condition, again a superb very clean record label, with all the printed text unfaded and clearly legible, all that is visible are a few signs of play to the centre spindle hole.
![]() The machine stamped matrixes are: Side 1: 7XCE 17217-1N, and side 2: 7XCE 17218-1N.

![]() The machine stamper lettering and numbers on Side1: MPT 2 O, and side 2: MPT 2GG. There is an embossed ‘MT’ lettering visible to the centre of the side 2 record label.

![]() Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Excellent condition, very clean vinyl surfaces with NO deep scratches or scuffs, all that is visible are some light surface hairline scratches.

![]() The Demonstration Record comes in it’s EMI Top Pop Special Rush Release Company Bag, these bags were exclusive to Demonstration Records at the time, and is in Excellent Minus condition, the bag shows light age toning to the white areas, but no seam splits or tears.
![]() Both sides of the disc play EXCEPTIONALLY WELL with a CLEAR, POWERFUL Sound, there are no clicks, pops, or skips, with only very light background crackle. The disc sits 100% flat on turntable, with NO dishing or warping.

![]() Beatles Demo’s in this condition are becoming impossible to find In terms of collecting, Beatles Demos are considered to be at the TOP of any Serious Beatles collection, – not to be underestimated this rare Second Beatles Demonstration Record can only increase in value over the coming years, this is a very clean example, and play’s with great sound quality, and the added bonus of it's original 1963 two page Press Release.
