THE BEATLES: THE BEATLES SECOND ALBUM A 1964 CAPITOL RECORDS USA 33 COMPACT 6 TRACK VINYL DISC. Cat No, SXA-2080.

During the 1960s, Capitol Records issued stereo compact 33 discs of some of The Beatles most popular albums for jukebox play. These 7 records play at 331/3 RPM. The mini albums were normally programmed with three songs from the album on each side of the disc. The songs featured on these discs were often unavailable in the 45 singles format. The discs were housed in a cardboard jacket which had mini versions of the artwork that was used for the LP release, the reverse of the sleeve was left blank. Capitol Records released only three of these mini LPs, the first being, Meet The Beatles followed by The Beatles Second Album, and finally Something New. All three were manufactured at Capitol s Scranton Factory.

This is an original first issue of the 1964 Capitol Records six track 7 mini LP in its original picture sleeve. This six track disc contains tracks from the original LP of the same title and was produced by Capitol Records USA for use in Juke Boxes. The vinyl disc is on the color band record labels and comes in its original picture sleeve which features the same Artwork as the LP release on the front, the back of the sleeve is blank.

Both record labels and both sides of the vinyl disc are in Excellent condition, each label shows signs of a few plays and the vinyl disc show just surface hairlines and a small non sounding surface mark on side 1.

Side 1stamped matrix: SXA-1-2080-A1 and Side 2: SXA-2 2080 A-1.

Each run-off groove has a tiny triangle with the letters IAM stamped inside.

The disc plays with a great sound quality from beginning to end, and plays a different version of Thank You Girl which features Harmonica, and is a very powerful and clear stereo only sound quality.

The original Picture sleeve with a pasted over front panel and a blank back panel is in very nice Excellent condition, this is a very nice and undamaged sleeve with just light age toning and label rim indentation to the reverse.
