The Vinyl is in excellent condition I am tempted to grade as near mint . Both sides of the vinyl gleam. Completely flat, thick, perfect edges and a wonderful sheen. Virtually unmarked apart from

just a few very, very light wispy hairlines and barely detectable small paper scuffs even under a bright light these are hard to detect . Wonderful This record has not been played

many times.

Labels are near perfect with just a couple of extremely faint, small spindle trails on each side adjacent to the centre hole. The side 1 label has the coveted very first press

mecolico sticker.

Near perfect audio with no jumps or distortion, no clicking, no background interference. There are a couple of nano seconds of static and perhaps just the merest hint of

some very light background crackle towards the beginning of each side and during the interludes but it s negligible. Simply stunning audio quality with all the detail you would expect on a high quality late

60 s heavy duty, deep groove piece of vinyl - such detail is simply lost during the re-mastering and compression process for digitising into CD format. Mono at it s best and surely hard to beat.

The front side laminated outer sleeve is not quite up to the same wonderful condition as the vinyl. Unfortunately a previous owner sellotaped the border of the sleeve

to protect from rubbing/scuffing and laminate lifting.The sellotape has since been removed but has resulted in some mild residue marking bordering the edges front and back .

The edges are all perfectly straight, rigid, with no scuffing or rubbing except on the spine where a little scuffing has managed to erase the last two letters of QUARTET - see photo.

There are six small 1cm or less laminate creases on the front side perpendicular and adjacent to the spine with just the hint of a larger diagonal crease towards the top left hand corner.

Each corner remains a nicely formed right angle with no rubbing whatsoever except for the bottom left corner which is a little squashed . Apart from the aforementioned light residue marks/stains

the reverse side is in excellent shape with all text perfectly legible and the top and bottom flipbacks in excellent order. Overall I would grade the condition of the outer sleeve as very good.

Mint

Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag ing might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good

Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair

Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop erly and displays considerable surface noise it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor

Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad

Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
