DEEP PURPLE MADE IN JAPAN GRAMOPHONE CO LABELS PURPLE RECORDS TPSP 351 RELEASED 1972 1ST PRESSING MATRIX: TPS 3511 A-1U PORKY B-1U DELTA PORK TPS 3512 A-1U PECKO B-1U PECKIE SLEEVE VINYL NM - PLAYED ONLY A COUPLE OF TIMES - A VERY RARE EXAMPLE DESPITE THE BAND NOT WANTING TO PUT OUT A LIVE ALBUM THE JAPANESE CONVINCED THEM TO RECORD THEIR OSAKA TOKYO CONCERTS FOR RELEASE ONLY IN JAPAN.
THE RESULT WAS THIS WHICH THEIR RECORD LABEL WAS DISINTERESTED IN RELEASING BUT GRUDGINLY PUT IT OUT IT WENT PLATINUM WITHIN TWO WEEKS.
IT STILL STANDS AS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE CLASSIC, AND BY FAR THE BEST, LINE-UP OF DEEP PURPLE MARK II AT THEIR PEAK.
