Item Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by ThePretty Things called "S.F.Sorrow"and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1st Pressing on the1st PressBlue/Black Columbia label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THISIS EASILY THE PRETTY THINGS RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTERLP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1968 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL, IS THAT IS IT1ST PRESSED IN MEGA RARE STEREO - WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STEREO MIX!!!!AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP - AND EASILY 10 TIMES RARER (AND BETTER SOUNDING!) THAN THE COMMON MONOs!!!! AND DESPITE MANY PEOPLE 'RAVING' ABOUT THE MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP, THIS IS DEFINITELYONE LATE 1960s LP WHERE THE STEREO1ST PRESS MIX IS INFINITELY BETTER THAN THE MONO VERSION!!!! HAVING SPOKENTO A BAND MEMBER MYSELF- I ALSO KNOW THE MAIN INPUT WAS PUT INTO THE STEREO MIX OF THIS LP (WHICH IS WHY IT SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE MONO VERSION!) WHEREAS THE MONO WAS SIMPLY CONTRACTED OUT FOR PRESSING TO ISLAND(WHICH IS WHY MONOs HAVE 'TEXTURED' LABELS!) AND ONLY THE STEREO 1ST PRESSINGS WERE EVER 1ST PRESSED BY EMI/COLUMBIA THEMSELVES DIRECTLY FROM THE MASTERS!!!! NOT ONLY THAT, BUT BARELY ANY 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP WERE EVER MADE IN MEGA RARE STEREO - WITH VIRTUALLY ALL OF THEM MADE IN MONO (STEREO 1ST PRESSINGS ARE UNDOUBTEDLY 10 TIMES RARER THAN MONOs!)!!!! SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE, AND IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION -AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL (ONLY ONCE OR TWICE AT THE VERY MOST!)!!!! AND BECAUSE THE RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL - THE SOUND QUALITY IS TRULY AMAZING, WITH NO DISTORTION AT ALL!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1ST PRESSING ON 1ST PRESSBLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR'ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE,AND 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' FLIPBACK LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! No is SCX 6306 on the ORIGINAL 1st PressBlue/Black Columbia label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarerUK STEREO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are inSUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, barely ANY texturisation, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED ONCE OR TWICE AT THE VERY MOST!!!! The vinyl is in AWESOME condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely ULTRA light TINY surface traces, and only a VERYfew of the lightestpaper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AMAZING!!!! It is alsogreat to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLYas the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The record is also fractionally uneven (barely ANY!) - though this is incredibly minor, and obviously wont affect play in the slightest!!!! And because this record has BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL - the sound quality is absolutely AWESOME with NO distortion AT ALL, and NO groovewear either!!!! The record mustgrade Excellent++++ if not MINT(Minus)!!!! AWESOME RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press'Patents Applied For' Advertisinginner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!! The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'E.J.Day'Flipback Laminated Gatefold STEREO Cover isin absolutely BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear,NO spinal wear (PERFECT side words!), NO rips, NO tears, only VERY slight corner wear(NOT through the colour!), NO splits, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), VERY shiny laminate, NO splits, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to the corners, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!! Even the unlaminated inside of the coveris in SUPERB condition withNO grubbyness, NOyellowing, SUPERB flipbacks, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! MY POSTAGE UNDERCHARGE GUARANTEE TO ALL BUYERS (I always undercharge on postage!):- Due to UK Royal Mail's obscene price increases this year - I have had no choice but to increase postage charges a little. Until this year - I had kept them exactly the same since I joined ebay back in 2002. However this years price increases have been so obscene, that I have had no choice but to increase my postage charges for the first time ever. However PLEASE NOTE - my absolute 100% guarantee to you as a buyer - is that I will ALWAYS undercharge postage on everything I send out. Even after the increases, I am still charging you the buyer LESS than I am being charged myself. On each package I send out - the price is clearly stated on the front of the package (please check it when you recieve it!). I also do NOT charge for packaging costs - ONLY for postal costs! And should you find that I have overcharged you postage in ANY way - I will refund DOUBLE the difference. THAT IS MY 100% POSTAL GUARANTEE FOR EACH AND EVERY BUYER! No buyer EVER deserves to be overcharged on postage - and on my listings, I'll make sure they are ALWAYS undercharged. Any questions - please ask!
