Item Description

Hi, and welcome to psychout auctions I ve collected 50 s, 60 s, and early 70 s records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm n Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between for all my life Obviously, 90 of the LP s I ve ever gotten hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock n roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10 ? Reluctantly, I ve decided to offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there I m currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid gold music history out there Make no mistake, I ll try my best to consistently offer some of the VERY BEST records available on ebay, many which have taken me YEARS to find I aim to put a weekly batch up time permitting every Wednesday, all timed to end 10 days later on Saturday night.
I ll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I ve got I won t insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity.
I m sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it s a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard none of this digitally remastered ,weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would ve been geniuses themselves? There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that s just a tiny example .
I try to be one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music I strictly grade all LP s I list, visually and sonically using the UK RRPG standards as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and I ll always do my very best not to let you down.
Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i ll be listing some gems that you just WON T want to miss out on I think that s everything, so let the auction commence Title : Deep Purple - Shades Of Deep Purple Label year : Original Yellow Black Parlophone PCS 7055 LP , UK Stereo 1968 IMPOSSIBLY RARE Original Matrix s : Side A : YEX 689 - 1 1 O , Side B : YEX 690 - 1 1 G UNBELIEVABLY EARLY STAMPERS THE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AND OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE CLASSIC DEBUT LP FROM THIS LEGENDARY BAND IMPOSSIBLE NO SOLD IN UK TEXT YELLOW AND BLACK LABELS AND EARLIEST 1G STAMP ONLY 300 WERE EVER LIKE THIS THIS SIMPLY NEVER TURNS UP AND IS RIDICULOUSLY HARD TO FIND Sold next to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, resulting in this EASILY being THE very rarest Deep Purple LP out there AWESOME AUDIO Don t miss out on this MAGNIFICENT piece of rock history, bid now About : Ultra Rare Original 1968 UK Original This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything LP s were also really expensive to most people back then and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60 s / 70 s record collection Don t miss out on this MEGA RARE LP If you like good music, bid now The LP :Labels :Classic UK 1968 yellow black Parlophone labels Both sides are FANTASTIC with NO real signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever Just has a small amount of light spindle marks which suggests that this hasn t had too much play over the years at all AWESOME for a 50 year old record Both must grade overall at least as Very Good Record : Visual -Spectacular Original UK 1st Press Vinyl Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks great with NO excessively nasty marks, and NO deep scratches that ruin playback It just has a small amount of light, wispy sleeve traces, a few fairly obvious but still relatively mild scuffs and scratches, and a small amount of ultra light non-sounding hairlines only visible in angled light mostly from where it has sat or been removed from it s cover over the years Of course, none of these blemishes interfere with play AT ALL, and they CERTAINLY don t effect the smoothness of it s playing Used, but still GREAT for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall visually at least as Fair graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me Record : Audio -Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic stereo seperation and clarity It really sounds GREAT with NO hops, distortion, sticks, or skips Only like pretty much all records has low level surface noise in places such as on the run in grooves, a few light ticks here and there on occasions, and just a touch of ULTRA mild and light bluesman s fag atmospheric static in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections, but it doesn t overshadow the music AT ALL I d even argue it gives it added soul A hugely enjoyable listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from UK 1968 Parlophone vinyl AWESOME for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall audiably at the very least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me Sleeve : Original UK 1967 front laminated flipback iconic GL patents pending Stereo sleeve complete with period advertisement inner clean with just a couple of neatly repaired seam splits - NO writing or graffiti whatsoever IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn, worn, and stained due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP This one is NOT, and looks BRILLIANT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves NO bad marks AT ALL, NO splits, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years Only has some mild signs of ageing such as a small amount of ultra light edge creases NO half moons and the merest hint of a record imprint, one or two ultra light signs of ageing to the incredibly clean unlaminated back such as some light dusting to the flipback tips and the slightest touches of bubbing to very rare parts of the seams barely anything , a touch of denting to the four corners which virtually every vintage sleeve has, and POSSIBLY just to be sure one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all And that s truly about it I tend to bring it down by listing every single minor negative I can possibly find, but this remains a FANTASTIC sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one as awesome as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit, and 100 readable Must grade overall at least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me Summary : A used, but AWESOME sounding example of this INCREDIBLY RARE psych classic original 1968 Parlophone UK 1st Press LP Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS BRILLIANT AS THIS YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don t miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60 s/70 s music history Bid now Please take a look at all my other auctions for many other ultra rare classic LPs, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Thanks again for looking, it s truly appreciated Cheers I ve realized that most countries have their own unique grading system.
I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system occasionally with a or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i m having real trouble deciding , so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean.
As a general rule, a mint record will be 100 perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it.
