Item Description

This is an excellent example of the highly prized first album by Led Zeppelin.
It is the original pressing with turquoise lettering on the cover and the uncrossed matrix number 588171, maroon labels and superhype publishing credits.
The album has been kept in a heavy clear plastic cover since the day it was bought in 1969 and has been lovingly cared for ever since.
Given its age it is in excellent condition and a superb example of an extremely rare and collectable vinyl LP.
The cover has no fading on either the front or back and the graphics, photographs and text are perfect.
The lamination has lifted slightly on a small area at the front lower right hand corner, but there are no major creases or cracks.
There are some very minor signs of use at the opening edge and light shaping around the disc see photo .
It comes with the original inner paper and polythene sleeve which shows obvious signs of wear and tear.
This includes some discolouration and a 3 inch tear on the outer paper casing but not on the inner polythene bag see photo .
The record plays beautifully without interruption on sides one and two.
The vinyl is in good condition albeit under a bright light there are several minor surface marks on both sides of the disk and a visible scratch across track one, side two: Your time is gonna come notwithstanding it retains its original sheen see photo .
This scratch causes a barely audible click in the quiet parts of this song, but does not cause sticking or jumping.
Indeed the reproduction overall is superb with very minor surface noise audible only when the album is played very loudly.
It has not been professionally cleaned. The record labels are in perfect condition with no signs of damage, writing or stickers with no spindle marks see photo .
In sum, this is an authentic much sought after collectable record in excellent condition containing music that is as relevant today as it was when it was first released 44 years ago. Please appreciate that I do not deal in record selling and the opinions here are of an amateur and do not refer to any professional grading criteria. Many thanks for looking, Should you require any further information please don t hesitate to contact me.
