Disc: EXCELLENT +
This barely played example has been well looked-after and would be challenge to upgrade. Each label shows no more than 2/3 faint spindle trails and both playing surfaces retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine with nothing more than 2/3 light fingernail scuff lines and some faint wispy marks consistent with inner-sleeve removal visible beneath halogen light but nothing I would call a scratch. All tracks play cleanly and clearly with the warmth and presence one would expect from such an early pressing. The only distraction during play-checking was a single 'pop' at the end of 'I'm Only Sleeping'. There is none of the annoying background crackle or interference as usually found on this LP, even on 'Eleanor Rigby' or 'Here There & Everywhere'. This really is one to treasure.
An incredible example which looks like it left the shops yesterday, let alone 49 years ago. The front is pristine white & unyellowed with an immaculate high-gloss front panel laminate free form any spine bends or 'thumbnails'. All corners are sharp and square and both opening edges appear untouched. The rear panel is totally wear-free and all flipbacks, seams and spine are in perfect condition. You will not find better.
