Item Description

Hello there, come on in and welcome to the auction As you can see from my 100 feedback, I sell with complete honesty and reliability.
Above all things I am a record collector and music lover.
I only sell records that I would want to receive.
I know well the disappointment of receiving an over-graded record that turns up two weeks late.
That is not the service you will receive here, so bid with total confidence.
I don t sell a lot of records because I spend a lot of time carefully finding, grading and listing them and do not like to rush this process, as many sellers must do to be able to sell 100 records a week I am mostly a collector of old time music, pre-war blues and folk, so buy job-lots that often contain rare records that aren t to my taste so to ebay they go On that note, if you have any early American blues or folk to swap or sell, please get in touch Anyway, enough of the chit chat and on to the record at hand Led Zeppelin IV Zoso 08th November 1971 1st Pressing 2401012 Atlantic Stereo Here we have the VERY 1st press of the Led Zeppelin untitled masterpiece often called Zoso Four Symbols spent an amazing 57 weeks in the UK charts.
The green orange label pressing s would far outsell the red and maroon colour early pressing s.
The Plum label variants were only available for 12 of the 57 weeks, during which time Atlantic prepared to launch their new labels and the new catalogue numbers.
Label changes usually took place incrementally, with a necessary cross over period needed to bridge the change of the records and covers already in record shops, taking into account the most recent releases that were still selling.
The classic Plum label design was changed by Atlantic to a green orange colour in March, 1972, when the second pressings of 4 Symbols were made, with a new catalogue number, K 5008, replacing the first issue s De Luxe 2401 012.
There are many variations of the Led Zeppelin IV first presses, but only the VERY first have the following criteria: Red and Maroon Labels.
A3/B3 matrix endings.
Not A3/B4, as many sellers make out Unlaminated outer sleeve.
Dark grey inner with flipback edges.
Porky Pecko Duck etched into the dead wax.
The A3 matrix is corrected from B1 Misty Mountain Hop is incorrectly listed as Misty Mountain Top To come across a very first pressing of Zoso is a once in a lifetime happening but to find one in the condition we have here is simply unheard of Both the outer and inner sleeves are in lovely condition and the vinyl is MINT, with perhaps 1 or 2 plays in its 40 year life We have ourselves a Led Zeppelin Holy Grail Matrix Numbers Side 1: 2401012 A//3 Side 2: 2401012 B//3 Stampers.
Side 1: 1 2 1 6 Pecko Duck Side 2: 1 2 5 Porky Sleeve Condition.
The 1st print unlaminated gatefold sleeve is in really nice condition There are no rips, writing or splits.
The spine is perfectly straight with only very mild wear There is some very mild storage wear and a small sticker removal graze and that s about it.
The colours are as vibrant as they were on the day of release The inside of the gatefold is near prefect Utterly superb Excellent Inner Condition.
The 1st press grey inner with text and credits on is in great condition with no rips, tears, or folding These inners are incredibly fragile and there is a seam split to the bottom edge, but the inner still holds the vinyl well although the disc has been kept in a spare polylined inner for some time to preserve the original, which just looks great Both the sides are strong with no splits.
There is no writing or even opening edge nicks It would be solid MINT if not for the seam at the bottom Superb Excellent Label Condition.
The 1st press textured labels are in fantastic condition.
There are no rips, writing or stains to mention.
Under a strong light there is just 1 or 2 wispy ghost, almost invisible spindles It s that good.
There is no centre hole damage at all.
Perfect Nr Mint Vinyl Visual Condition.
The record looks great It just looks brand new It still retains its wonderful shine and lustre after all these years.
There are no deep scratches, warping or dulling at all.
When looking under a halogen, only the faintest of removals can be seen that you wouldn t be surprised to find on a brand new vinyl This simply is the best Zoso you will ever find Nr Mint Vinyl Audio Condition.
The record sounds superb on all frequencies It s a nice punchy and clear audio throughout The band is clearly separable by the ear with a superb dynamic sound from start to finish A sharp sound that just jumps off the record It s just simply amazing Black Dog just jumps pierces through so beautifully, its impossible not to smile when you hear it You won t hear better in all your days Pristine Nr Mint So there we have it.
The rarest and earliest presses of Led Zeppelins 1971 Masterpiece in truly MINT condition THE Led Zeppelin Holy Grail If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Happy Bidding All my records will be sent first class, signed for and insured to their value I will package the records with extreme care, with hard stiffeners and the vinyl separate to the sleeve and inner, all housed in a Defenda lock tab record box envelope.
I try to be as honest as I can in my descriptions, taking as many pictures as possible, but if you don t feel happy with your purchase, I offer no quibble full refunds as soon as the record is sent back.
I will not give partial refunds however, only full.
I think this is fair, Thanks lt --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- gt
