MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB --THE ROLLING STONES --AUDIOPHILE BLACK BOX COLLECTION -- 1984

11 Vinyl LPs in PRISTINE CONDITION - NEVER PLAYED!

ONLY 10,000 OF THESE WERE MADE IN 1984 and SOLD OUT QUICKLY -- NEVER TO BE MADE AGAIN!..

This box is MFSL number #2119.

The vinyl LPs in this collection have NEVER been played. They are all in pristine shape in their original sleeves and anti-static inner sleeves.

The cover art book is also in excellent condition, although it does show some warping due to the heavyweight paper it's printed on and the hologram on the cover -- see scan.

The black box's original brass hardware is ALL in excellent condition with nothing broken, and no corrosion.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO ITS SIZE, WEIGHT and RARITY -- INSURED SHIPPING ON THIS BOX IN THE US WILL BE $30!(Not the $4 eBay forces in this category.)

The Rolling Stones collection utilizes MFSL's exclusive half-speed mastering music transference technology, the world's highest quality vinyl pressings on the world's highest quality vinyl, in extraordinarily protective and impressive packaging.

Because of these and other MFSL proprietary procedures, you will experience The Rolling Stones with imaging so real that you'll believe that they are performing live in your living room.

Here's the list of LPs in the collection - their very first ten albums on eleven LPs - "Hot Rocks" was a double album, and is in the box as two separate discs:

• The Rolling Stones

• 12 x 5

• Out Of Our Heads

• Aftermath

• Between The Buttons

• Their Satanic Majesties Request

• Beggar's Banquet

• Let It Bleed

• Get Yer Ya-Yas Out! (live concert)

• and the two disc compilation album Hot Rocks.

The Rolling Stones Artbook included with this collection is a very classy 12 1/4" x 12 1/4", full-color LP-sized artbook, with its original stiff white wraparound cover for protection (many people tore off and threw out the white cover.. not so with this one). In the Artbook, the cover of "Their Satanic Majesties" is the original 3D "Variview" holographic artwork, as found on the original 1967 album release.. As I said above, the artbook cover does have some warping on it -- (see scan).

Each LP is in an identical blood-red jacket, with stiffener, inside a propritary MFSL rice-paper sleeve to avoid scratching when removing and re-inserting each LP.. (regular LPs came in paper sleeves, which scratched them and left marks on them).. there are no finer inner sleeves out there than MFSL rice paper sleeves.. the title of each album is printed on its red jacket's spine..

The Artbook displays the original album cover graphics of each of the albums in the collection, duplicated from the orginal film transparencies, printed on heavy, art quality paper stock, and also describes the advanced and precise technical processes utilized in the creation of MSFL's Original Master Recordings. The artbook also includes interviews with the Rolling Stones' engineers and producers. Each of the many elements included in the collection is housed in a heavy, luxurious, jet black box, with screaming red, raised "The Rolling Stones" lettering on both sides of the impressive and heavy black box..

A very sturdy wooden housing, this presentation box is very tightly covered in an elegant black fabric emblazoned with the striking red logotype of The Rolling Stones Collection.

For ultimate protection, the black box contains its own precisely designed, built-in record rack to house the eleven Original Master Recording Discs, the Art Book, and the Geo-Disc in perfect vertical alignment within the case's tray divider system.. This prevents unnecssary wear-and tear, rubbing, and avoids possible disc warpage. MFSL spared no expense when they designed this collection..

The set comes with the MFSL 12 1/4" "Geo-Disc", which is still sold by itself, by the newer Chicago-based "MoFi" (a division of Music Direct) who bought out the original MFSL name and remaining stock years ago, and they still sell the Geo-Disc alone, for over $150.00!, but the remaining original MFSL LP stock is all gone.. the Geo-Disc allows you to even more accurately and dramatically enjoy the incredible sonic dynamics of these orignal master recordings, because it will enable you to easily align your turntable's cartridge and stylus to within 2/1000ths of an inch in accuracy. The Geo-Disc's instructions are very easy to understand. The result can be incredibly improved playback performance. (The Geo-Disc in this set has never been used!).
