    This is a great compilation of the Cameo Parkway hits at a good price. Pretty much all the Top Ten tracks from the label are included, and I was happy to find "96 Tears" by ? and the Mysterians, as well.

    ESSENTIAL 60'S POP

    THE PROBLEM WITH THESE TYPES OF COLLECTIONS IS THAT THERE ARE ALWAYS ABOUT HALF A DOZEN THAT YOU DON'T THINK BELONG AND MANY OTHERS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED INSTEAD OR HAVE A SECOND DISC. THAT ASIDE, THIS IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT IT CLAIMS AND FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE ANY OF THE MATERIAL, IS A GREAT CD TO HAVE AS MOST OF THESE WERE MAJOR POP HITS IN THE EARLY 60'S, JUST BEFORE THE BRITISH INVASION AND ALTHOUGH THERE ARE MANY SO CALLED MUSIC CRITICS THAT THINK THAT MOST OF THIS KIND OF STUFF WAS GARBAGE, THEY WEREN'T THERE BY AND LARGE TO GROW UP ENJOYING THIS STUFF. I WAS!

    These are all the original Cameo-Parkway Hits! No second takes or later recordings. The sound is full and rich. All the big hits put out by the label are here..I would have liked to see more liner notes but the recordings are perfect! Enjoy!
